1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Sistr mobile application (“Sistr”), provided by Tunahan Aktay (“we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use Sistr.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher, to use Sistr. If you are under the age of legal majority, use the app with your parent or guardian’s permission.

3. License Grant

You may use the app for your personal use, under Apple’s Standard EULA described below. Stories you create are covered by section 4. All rights not expressly granted remain with us and our licensors. These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If the two conflict about your license to use the app, Apple’s agreement applies.

4. User Content

• Ownership: You retain all rights to the details and requests (“User Content”) you enter in the app.
• Processing License: You grant us, and the AI providers named in our Privacy Policy, a temporary, worldwide, royalty-free license to process the story requests you submit strictly to provide AI-written, illustrated and narrated Bible stories. Your date of birth and your library are never sent to the AI providers. The license terminates after processing, and your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.
• Results: As between you and us, the stories Sistr writes for you are yours to read, keep and share for personal, non-commercial use. The Bible passages quoted in the app come from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain.
• Responsibility: You are responsible for what you enter. Do not enter another person’s private information in a story request.

5. Subscriptions & Purchases

• Subscriptions: Sistr offers optional subscription plans for Bible stories, the full Holy Path and every devotional. Daily affirmations, the verse of the day, the widgets and one devotional in each category are free; every Bible story and the other devotionals require premium access. To stop automated abuse, we apply rate limits that ordinary use does not reach.
• In-App Purchases: Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple handles all payments, taxes, and billing.
• Renewal & Cancellation: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
• Refunds: Apple handles all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Enter offensive, illegal, or harmful requests.
• Violate any applicable law.
• Reverse-engineer, modify, or exploit Sistr’s technology.
• Use bots or scripts to abuse the system.
• Resell, copy, or rebuild the Sistr service itself.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the Sistr app (logos, code, UI, designs, text, and graphics) belongs to us or our licensors. You may not use them for commercial purposes without permission. Any feedback or suggestions you provide can be used freely by us without compensation.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data. It forms part of these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

Sistr is provided “as is” and “as available”. Stories are retellings written by AI to encourage you. They are not Scripture, can contain mistakes, and are not pastoral, medical, mental-health or other professional advice. Read the Bible passages they cite for yourself. Features and content may change, and the AI providers Sistr relies on may be unavailable at times. Stories are stored only on your device, so deleting the app deletes them. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Sistr in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnification

You are responsible for claims arising from requests you enter in breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

• By You: You may stop using Sistr at any time.
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the app.
• Effect: Certain clauses (User Content, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Liability) will survive termination.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. You agree to resolve any disputes through the courts of Turkey, unless local consumer protection laws offer you additional rights.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. We will announce significant changes on this page or in the app before they take effect, and update the date above.

15. Miscellaneous

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and Apple’s Standard EULA form the entire agreement between you and us. If any part is found invalid, the rest remains enforceable. You may not transfer these Terms without our permission.
